NGC3628 |
|
Updated: 2.18.05 |
NGC3628 is part of the famous Leo Trio, which also consists of galaxies M65 and M66. While also the largest of the 3 galaxies, it also has the lowest surface brightness, making it the most difficult to image well. This region abounds with many small galaxies and a close look reveals on the order of 50 to 60 in the background of this image. The image was shot in Chiefland during the February new moon. |
