IC1805

Updated: 11.07.06

IC1805 is often referred to as the Heart Nebula and is located in the constellation of Cassiopeia. It is a large emission nebula, exceeding 1 degree in size and is situated in a region rich in nebulosity. Neighboring IC1848 makes for a very nice pairing, especially in wide field images. This h-alpha only image was taken at a campground in Pennsylvania.
